How to launch a start-up

At DESY, there is enormous potential for concepts and ideas to transfer scientific know-how into the economy. With the Start-up School, DESY wants to make it easier for anyone willing to start a business to launch a start-up.

A workshop module this year will provide business opportunities around the upgrade of DESY's PETRA III synchrotron to PETRA IV: Participants in the 2023 edition of the DESY Start-up School will examine opportunities for business models around PETRA IV in the fields of health, energy, environment and material sciences as well as new methods of AI and data visualization.
